According to reports, Epic Games is gearing up to bring back the iconic live events from Chapter 1 in Fortnite’s original mode.
During a recent streaming session, TimTheTatman disclosed that Epic Games intends to revisit classic live events for the OG mode. He stated, “The document they [Epic] provided indicates there will be live events again.”
This prospective feature would enrich the OG playlist, offering more live events than Chapter 6 Battle Royale. If realized, it would allow players to relive Fortnite’s memorable moments or encounter them for the first time, offering a distinctive chance to appreciate events that were once considered one-offs.
Fortnite’s inaugural live event was the ‘Blast Off’ rocket launch, which occurred at the conclusion of Season 4. If Epic adheres to this schedule, players shouldn’t anticipate announcements of any OG events prior to June 2025, when the return of Season 4 is projected.
Revisiting Chapter 1’s events would support Epic’s continuous endeavor to make Fortnite OG as faithful to the initial experience as possible. As of now, there has been no official confirmation from Epic Games regarding the revival of past live events. Stay tuned for more updates.
