Selena Gomez is living her dream life!
After the “Rare” singer announced her engagement to music producer Benny Blanco, the star took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday (Dec. 19) to share a video of her sparkling marquise-cut diamond engagement ring, complete with a pavé band.
“Sorry last post,” she wrote over the clip. “I’ve just dreamed of this moment my whole life.”
Gomez shared the happy news last week (Dec. 11) via an Instagram carousel featuring her stunning marquise diamond engagement ring, alongside the caption, “forever begins now..”
Blanco responded in the comments, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.” Dozens of famous friends also flooded her comments section with congratulations. “yes I will be the flower girl” wrote Gomez’s longtime pal Taylor Swift. Blanco shared behind-the-scenes footage of his proposal, which took place on a soundstage made up to look like a park. The couple dined on Taco Bell — one of Gomez’s favorite food places — and clinked champagne glasses while sitting on a picnic blanket.

Gomez first confirmed that she and Blanco were dating in December 2023, about six months into their romance. In a reply to fans on Instagram, she wrote that he “is my absolute everything in my heart” and that she is at her “happiest” in the relationship. Gomez and Blanco first collaborated musically on the 2019 track “I Can’t Get Enough” alongside Tainy and J Balvin. They teamed up again for Gomez’s 2023 single “Single Soon,” their musical partnership evolving into a deep personal connection.
