Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan released a remix of “Expectations” on New Music Friday. The original appears on Rodrigo’s Billboard 200-topping album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Billboard describes it as the first remix of its kind in Rodrigo’s career and says Roan’s own verse puts her cinematic songwriting front and center.
Tate McRae started a new era with the song “Housewife,” produced by Grant Boutin and Ryan Tedder. The song turns the term into a statement about empowerment and self-sufficiency. In the first line of the chorus, McRae sings about wanting to make a lot of money and be “my own housewife.”
