Led by Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi, and Andy Szekere, The Avalanches released their fourth studio album, No Bad Memories, via Modular Recordings/Universal.

The Australian electronic act debuted in 2000 with Since I Left You, a collection that used thousands of vinyl samples from artists including Françoise Hardy, Sérgio Mendes, Raekwon, Wayne and Shuster, and Madonna.

After a 16-year gap, their second album, Wildflower, debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Their third album, We Will Always Love You, followed in 2020 and won the Australian Music Prize for best album of the year.

No Bad Memories contains 31 tracks and features guests such as Karen O, John Glacier, Jamie xx, Barry Can’t Swim, Rivers Cuomo, and Mike Patton.

According to a statement accompanying the release, the project explores the magical intersection of advertising, memory, and nostalgia, examining how jingles, sonic logos, commercials, and the sounds of technology quietly embed themselves in our lives, becoming inseparable from the memories they soundtrack.

The group said in a statement that their album No Bad Memories is out in the world today, adding they are beyond grateful for the endless enthusiasm and love their music receives after all this time and thanking listeners for taking the time to listen.

The album has a runtime of 52 minutes and is accompanied by a music video for “I Give Everything I Have 2 U” featuring Loaded Honey. The visual stars Haley Joel Osment and was directed by cinematographer Andrés Arochi on location in Tokyo.

The Avalanches stated that working with their friend Haley on the visual for this song was a thrill, describing a one-take scenario with Haley trying to navigate Shibuya traffic with a huge camera strapped to the outside of his windshield.

The Avalanches will perform in the United States, Continental Europe, the United Kingdom, and Asia, followed by an Australian tour in early 2027.
