Cancelled Overwatch League China matches moved to South Korea

Overwatch League matches initially supposed for Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou have been moved to South Korea.

In late January, Blizzard cancelled 5 Overwatch League homestand matches in China over issues in regards to the coronavirus outbreak. The matches had been set to happen this month and in March.

Now, Blizzard has revealed that it’s shifting these matches to South Korea. The make-up matches will likely be performed in weeks six and 7 at at studio in Seoul, powerful some is likely to be added to the week 5 schedule.

“The makeup matches will not affect the other scheduled homestands in Washington (Week 5), Florida (Week 6), and Atlanta (Week 7),” Blizzard mentioned.

Specific dates and instances will likely be revealed quickly. Like all Overwatch League games, the make-up matches will likely be livestreamed on YouTube, because of the current exclusivity rights deal Activision made with Google.

The information isn’t notably shocking, as various the groups in these affected cities have already moved their coaching amenities to Seoul.
