Britney Spears shared her feelings in advance of Friday’s (Nov. 12) crucial conservatorship hearing in an emotional Instagram post, saying this week is “gonna be very interesting for me.” In the message that featured a gauzy fantasy image from late Austrian painter Hans Zatzka, Spears said she’s praying in the days leading up to the hearing, which is expected to definitively decide the fate of her long-running conservatorship.
“This week is gonna be very interesting for me!!!,” Spears wrote. “I haven’t prayed for something more in my life !!! I know I’ve said some things on my Insta out of anger and I’m sorry but I’m only human … and I believe you’d feel the same way if you were me.”
Spears’ estranged father, Jamie Spears, filed a petition to end his daughter’s conservatorship last week, two months after he was suspended from his long-running role overseeing his daughter’s estate. After overhauling his legal team, Jamie Spears asked a California court for an immediate and “unconditional” end to the restrictive legal arrangement “not tomorrow or next week, now.”
As part of his appeal, Britney’s dad said he would hand over all documents related to the 13-year arrangement because he has “nothing to hide.”
“Anyway it’s a new day and I can’t say I’m never going to complain again … cuz who knows ♀️ !!! God bless you all and have a great day,” Britney continued in her post. Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny is expected to end the conservatorship at Friday’s hearing.
