Blizzard remains to be engaged on concepts from Overwatch’s unique growth

It’s what we want to continue doing for Overwatch.”

Blizzard has proven off a number of early ideas for the sport going way back to the failed Titan MMO, together with fairly a number of unused heroes, and so they’re nonetheless drawing on these outdated concepts for additional additions. “We don’t feel like we’ve gotten through all of the ideas we had for the original game,” Keller says. We are internally engaged on heroes and maps, a few of these heroes are ones we talked about once we had been initially arising with concepts for this sport. So we need to hold working via that.”

Keller provides that the addition of deathmatch is one instance of suggestions shaping additional growth. “When we released our first free-for-all deathmatch map last year the community really liked it, and they started asking us for more of them, and also for more competitive version of it. So that’s where the idea for this new map and mode for the Anniversary event. It was directly from a desire from the community.”
