Little Mix shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon. On Monday (Aug. 30) the “Sweet Melody” singers announced on social media that they’ll be releasing a new single titled “Love (Sweet Love)” this Friday (Sept. 3). The girl group also teased a snippet of the new music coming on their Instagram and Twitter accounts on Sunday.
In the teaser photo, singers Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwell look like goddesses, with stunning, elaborate golden headpieces and flowing gray dresses. “Your gonna love this one,” Pinnock teased on her Instagram account.
The single announcement comes after Edwards and Pinnock gave birth to their children earlier in August. Edwards welcomed her baby with partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on Aug. 21, while Pinnock welcomed her twins five days earlier with fiance Andre Gray on Aug. 16.
The announcement also comes on the heels of the group’s 10th anniversary. To commemorate the milestone, Little Mix will be releasing Between Us, a compilation of their hits that includes five brand new songs. The album will be accompanied by a physical release, featuring several different art options for the vinyl and CD versions of the album.
“‘Between Us’ 12.11…We are so excited about this album. It includes all our hits, as well as some brand new songs we can’t wait for you to hear,” the group wrote in an Instagram post on Aug. 19. “We can’t thank you all enough for your support over the last ten years…this album is for each and every one of you who’s listened to our music, bought an album or sung your heart out at one of our shows. We wouldn’t be here releasing this album if it wasn’t for you #10YearsOfLittleMix.”
