Xbox Series X: a smoking machine? Microsoft responds

This is both fun … and damn problematic, especially for Microsoft. Since yesterday, internet users who own the Xbox Series X have posted several amazing videos of the console, spewing out real thick white smoke. And as they say, there is no smoke without fire: would the new American beast be subject to breakdowns, which could themselves cause fires?

Suffice to say that on Microsoft’s side, the story was taken very seriously. But the outcome is fortunately much lighter than some would have hoped: it is actually a farce, the smoke coming … from electronic cigarettes. By vaping and blowing into the machine’s famous ventilation grid, a real grayish cloud emerges: it must be said that the effect is no longer successful. Faced with this revelation, Microsoft then expressed itself with a certain irony on Twitter:
