You’ve been locked out of your cabin and it’s a must to discover the woods. Turns out that getting your key again goes to contain a couple of spooky adventures. You know why? Because in Woodsy the woods are spooky. There are monsters in every single place, however stated monsters in a short time can turn out to be your pals, for those who run a collection of errands on their behalf. It’s a pleasant mixture of scares and cares, and it’s completely free.
This was made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 41, as a part of this dare’s “combine two incompatible genres” problem. The small workforce from Braindeer Games merged slice-of-life walkabouts like Animal Crossing with genuinely efficient bounce scares. The scares are instantly transitioned into very cute interactions with the varied skeletons and monsters you meet in your new swampy terror house.
(Lofoten from Ludlum Dare 41 can also be fairly good, as I wrote about here. This Ludlum Dare has simply be an unimaginable bounty of video games that I’m glad the creators are releasing and pushing for bigger audiences to dabble in.)
You can obtain Woodsy for free from itch.io. There are each 64-bit and 32-bit variations accessible. Consider following the creators to assist their work.
