Watch Lady Gaga Cover Bowie on First Night of Vegas Residency

Last night time, Lady Gaga launched her residency at MGM’s Park Theater in Las Vegas. During the set, she carried out a few stay debuts: a canopy of David Bowie’s “I’m Afraid of Americans” and “Shallow,” the breakout tune from A Star Is Born. (She sang each her personal and Bradley Cooper’s verses.) Watch footage under.

Transitioning into the Bowie cowl (round 2:40 within the first video), she modified a “Government Hooker” lyric to reference the present president: “John F. Kennedy/I’ll make you squeal, child/Donald Trump… should you pay me.” The residency, titled Enigma, is because of span two years.
