Greetings, everyone. I am reaching out a bit earlier than my usual schedule today.
As Korea is currently observing a significant holiday period, our production capacity for a full video update was limited this week. In its place, I would like to provide a detailed preview of the improvements and fixes scheduled for our upcoming patch next week.
Upcoming Hotfix Details
- Natural Disaster Balancing: We have lowered the frequency of environmental disasters and recalibrated the associated rewards.
- Navigation Fixes: Resolved a pathfinding glitch where Zois would repeatedly walk into walls or obstacles and become immobilized.
- Business Management: Corrected a bug where the “Refill Fruit Drink” action failed to restock displays while the business was closed.
- CAZ Stability: Addressed a technical error in Character Customization (CAZ) that prevented certain Zoi presets from being saved correctly.
- Visual Polishing: Fixed clipping issues where undergarments were visible through specific clothing items.
- Studio Assets: Rectified a visual anomaly in the Hanok Studio background where seat cushions appeared with unnatural thickness in Customize mode.
- Build Mode Refinement: Fixed a bug that restricted customization options for specific sections of the rattan drawer cabinet.
Current Roadmap & Development Priorities
- Infant Simulation: Refining infant AI to ensure that needs and interactions are processed accurately.
- Camera Controls: Implementing user-defined settings for rotation, movement, and zoom-out sensitivity.
- Smart Environment: Automating light sources to power down once every household member is asleep.
- Social Logic: Improving interaction priorities so Zois no longer prioritize sitting down mid-conversation just because a chair is nearby.
- Appearance Profiles: Adding the functionality to save distinct makeup and hairstyles for different outfit categories.
- Wardrobe Management: Introducing an option to lock specific outfits to particular situational categories.
- Visual Fidelity: Optimizing graphics for high-end hardware and correcting the jittery movement of distant vehicles.
- Emotional Depth: Developing an advanced emotion system to better reflect the nuanced relationships between Zois.
- Rest Animations: Diversifying the range of animations used for sleeping and resting in bed.
Your ongoing feedback is the cornerstone of our development process. I firmly believe that inZOI would not have achieved its current level of depth without the insights shared by this community.
The life simulation genre is inherently intricate; due to the vast number of interconnected systems, a minor adjustment to one element can ripple through others. Much like a complex digital tool, a single change to a window frame might behave unpredictably depending on its placement and the objects surrounding it.
Because of these complexities, we remain dedicated to a cycle of continuous refinement based on your bug reports and suggestions. Thank you for your patience and support.
Warm regards,
kjun
