‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ Star to Play Daphne in New ‘Scooby-Doo’

Mckenna Grace, known for her roles in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and I, Tonya, has been officially cast as Daphne Blake in the upcoming live-action series reimagining the “Scooby-Doo” universe. The high-profile project is set to debut on Netflix.

The narrative will explore the formation of the legendary Mystery Inc., tracing the early days of the iconic investigative team: Daphne, Fred Jones Jr., Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley, and their faithful canine companion, Scooby.

Steering the production are showrunners and screenwriters Josh Appelbaum (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Scott Rosenberg (Venom). While anticipation is building, a definitive release date has not yet been established.

Grace’s schedule remains packed, with an upcoming appearance in Scream 7. Additionally, she is set to star in the Hunger Games prequel, Sunrise on the Reaping, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 19.
