Exciting news for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt enthusiasts! As of now, registrations are open for you to experience the editor first-hand through an exclusive Playtest on Steam.
The Witcher 3 REDkit, our ambitious modding suite for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is under development. It leverages the identical toolkit our developers used in crafting the game, promising virtually boundless creative possibilities for modding. This tool will be bestowed upon all The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt PC owners at no extra cost, with a launch planned for later this year.
To register, head over to The Witcher 3 REDkit’s Steam store page and request access:

Access to the Playtest will be granted in waves. Upon acceptance, “The Witcher 3 REDkit Playtest” will be added to your Steam Library. Note that to utilize the editor efficiently, the base game of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt needs to be installed as well.
We are optimistic about your testing experience and hope it proceeds without a hitch, but please remember, you will be navigating a beta version of the tool and may encounter some glitches. In conjunction with the modding tool, we’re also preparing the integration of the Steam Workshop for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Participate in the Beta to help us fine-tune this update.

Although the Steam Workshop Beta and The Witcher 3 REDkit Playtest are part of the same ecosystem, they are independent endeavors. Feel free to join one without the other or enjoy both according to your interest.

Once a member, simply navigate to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in your Steam Library, select Properties > Betas, and then choose “workshop_test” from the menu. This action will trigger an automatic game update.
