Triller is on the hunt for a resident DJ — and the app is employing its recent acquisition Verzuz to determine the best candidate for the job.
The global search to fill the lucrative position, which comes with an annual salary of $1 million, was announced Tuesday (July 13). The winning candidate will become Triller’s first-ever resident DJ, performing for Verzuz, Triller Live, Triller Fight Club, FITE and all other Triller live events and programming, as well as representing the Triller brand globally through media, appearances and other marketing. They will additionally be tasked with designing music programs for Triller brand partnerships and new music initiatives across all Triller verticals. The Los Angeles-based job will require extensive travel.
To apply for the position, DJs over the age of 18 from across the globe are invited to post their best five-minute sets on Triller using the #TrillerDJ hashtag starting Tuesday. On Aug. 8, Triller will announce the names of 16 finalists, who will then “battle” each other on the Verzuz platform — all leading up to a final battle during the TrillerVerz weekend music festival beginning Sept. 10. Audience votes will decide the victor, with Triller promising to pay relocation fees for the winning candidate.
