We are thrilled to unveil Patch 1.2.0f1, affectionately dubbed Detailer’s Patch #2! This update introduces a suite of tools and options tailored for detail enthusiasts, complimented by several fixes and enhancements.

If you are experiencing issues following the patch download:
Should your game crash before reaching the main menu, we advise verifying the integrity of your game files. This can be done by right-clicking the game in your Steam library, navigating to the “Installed Files” section, and choosing “Verify integrity of game files”.

Modern Architecture:

  • Fixed issue where Community Fire Station couldn’t be enhanced with a Fire Station Gate with Helipad.
  • Updated placeholder ad screens that weren’t being replaced by company ads in Modern Architecture Parks.

Urban Promenades:

  • Resolved vehicles clipping through the building when accessing the Urban Medical Center upgraded with the Ambulance Depot.
  • Addressed fire trucks clipping through the Urban Fire Station structure upon exiting via the far-right garage.

Gameplay Fixes & Improvements:

  • Implemented various optimizations for game loading.
  • Enhanced boarding processes for public transport and taxis to be based on distance, expediting boarding at crowded stops.
  • Improved nighttime brightness.
  • Refined window lighting at Notre Dame.
  • Introduced a new galaxy cubemap texture.
  • Fixed crash issues when interacting with cities featuring signature buildings or extractors missing a zone type.
  • Fixed crash occurring during the demolition of specific broken road segments.
  • Rectified crash issues while highlighting buildings with missing tree assets as props.
  • Fixed crashes related to missing resources/images.
  • Resolved issue of tourists freezing after the removal of the hotel they were returning to.
  • Fixed problem where demolishing a hotel transferred the Company to a lower-level building, resulting in overbooking.
  • Addressed challenges with homelessness impacting population growth.
  • Homeless citizens are now accurately counted as part of the population.
  • Resolved issue with homeless tenants being repeatedly added and removed as park residents.
  • Corrected a rare connection issue causing pathfinding failures for about 0.1% of buildings on curved gravel roads or alleys.
  • Fixed train pathing issues on single two-way tracks requiring mid-track direction changes.
  • Addressed issues around the transportation of sick individuals.
  • Corrected crosswalk failures at tram stops on Eight and Six Lane Roads.
  • Fixed problem where switching from “Replace road” tool attempted to create a road.
  • Resolved missing road textures when constructing a roundabout in a specific manner.

UI Fixes & Improvements:

  • Added an option for rebinding secondary mouse UI actions.
  • Revamped vanilla zone icons with more vibrant colors.
  • Updated Terraforming and Vegetation icons.
  • Fixed job count in Population Info View showing figures from previously loaded save files upon starting a new game with the Unlock All option.
  • Applied multiple controller-related fixes.
  • Fixed building panels inaccurately showing vehicle maintenance numbers.
  • Corrected Signature commercial buildings marked as “Occupied” in Info View despite being empty.
  • Addressed rare bugs affecting the saving UI.

Modding Fixes & Improvements:

  • Added “paypal.com“, “paypal.me”, and “twitch.com” to the mod external links allowed list
  • Enhanced functionality showing section IDs instead of blanks in the absence of localization values.
  • Improved UI modding by making the bottom toolbar, right-side menu, and additional button icons/images accessible for modding through exported image objects from relevant modules.
  • Corrected errors when placing building extensions not classified as service upgrades in the Editor (e.g., BasketballCourtDecal01).
  • Modding backend:
  • Log now displays a warning if an in-game assembly is provided with a mod.
  • Adjusted mod assembly loading to avoid duplicate loading of an in-game assembly.
  • Fixed SettingsUIHideByConditionAttribute’s flawed behavior that previously resulted in options not being hidden or shown as intended.
  • Enhanced mod post-processing to pinpoint partial process failures. Should an error occur in the post-processor during the build log, the entire post-processing task will subsequently fail.

Paradox Mods:

  • Updated PDX launcher to the most recent version
  • PDX SDK updated to version 1.28
  • Mods UI revised to version 1.8.0
