Two-Two Interactive firm president Karl Slatoff doesn’t view loot containers as a type of playing.

Speaking at Credit Suisse’s 21st Annual Technology, Media and Telecom Conference – as reported by Gamasutra – Slatoff weighed in on the difficulty, stating that he doesn’t view loot containers as a type of playing.

“In terms of the consumer noise you hear in the market right now, for me it’s really all about content”, he reportedly mentioned. “It’s about over-delivering on content (…) you can’t force the consumer to do anything.”

Take-Two Interactive, the corporate that owns each Rockstar Games and 2K Games, has been very clear on the worth of microtransactions of their video games. Back in July, firm CEO Strauss Zelnick mentioned that “you can’t give stuff away for free in perpetuity; there’s no business model in that“. The implication was that each one video games going ahead would come with microtransactions.

Grand Theft Auto Online, which inspires customers to purchase cash in-game, has been extraordinarily successful at producing income. GTA 5 is, in actual fact, the best selling game ever in the US. NBA 2K18, however, aggravated numerous gamers with its aggressive emphasis on microtransactions.

It’s exhausting to not surprise what this all means for Red Dead Redemption 2, which is looking pretty nice within the footage we’ve seen to date. Will the sport have a web based mode, equal to Grand Theft Auto Online, and in that case will we be inspired to spend our cash inside it?

We don’t know something definitive simply but – hopefully we received’t have one other Star Wars Battlefront 2-style debacle on our palms any time quickly.
