Boomer, your canine companion in Far Cry 5, can’t die, even when he takes a bullet for you. What an excellent canine.
This has been confirmed by SE7EN.WS, who put the necessary query to artistic director Dan Hay. His response: “Boomer can take fire and go down, and go away for a while. But he’ll come back.”
This is wise – a useless canine is sufficient to flip some folks off of a sport fully, and it implies that the participant received’t get waylaid by any John Wick model rampages.
Boomer is only one of several companions who will help you out within the sport. It stays to be seen whether or not Grace et. al can die, ala Far Cry 2, however it’s good to know that Boomer will, presumably, stay eternally.
During the sport Boomer can chunk and assault enemies and steal their weapons for you. As far as your enemies are involved, he’s a unhealthy canine, however you’ll know the reality.
