The Division 2 briefly disables every day and weekly Projects

Ubisoft have briefly disabled The Division 2‘s ‘Project’ quests because of a difficulty which let gamers repeatedly declare rewards and–heaven forbid!–get extra loot than supposed. They tried to repair this on Sunday with an emergency server restart however that didn’t work, so the Projects are disabled till a full repair is in place. I hope you’re comfortable, you rotters. By squeezing extra loot out the net looter-shooter than you had been speculated to, you’ve taken loot away from everybody. Booooo.

“In order to fix an issue where daily and weekly projects could repeatedly award players with rewards we had to restart the servers without prior notification,” Ubi tweeted at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. “We apologise for the inconvenience.”

Projects are a sort of quest which rotate every day or weekly, providing useful wee rewards for duties like resupplying settlements, chasing away baddies, and such – the on a regular basis (and everyweek) enterprise of retaining folks alive in a post-apocalyptic metropolis. They’re meant to be a trickle of loot, not a torrent gushing goodies throughout your man.

A couple of minutes later, Ubi followed-up with “Correction: We’re currently unable to fix the issue with the server restart, therefore we’re disabling the daily and weekly projects for the time being.”

They’ll monitor progress on a repair in this forum thread.

And that’s why you may’t do Projects proper now.

Ubisoft are additionally at present investigating the mysterious shortage of ammo drops for ‘signature’ weapons.
