Team Fortress 2 Update from December 15, 2023

A new version of Team Fortress 2 has been launched. This latest version will install automatically once you reboot Team Fortress 2. The significant alterations are:

  • The Pyro’s right hand c_model rendering issue has been rectified
  • Error related to the non-display of The Razorback in the 3D HUD player model and loadout preview has been fixed, thanks to a community solution from gidi30
  • Another community fix from gidi30 resolved the issue of Engineer’s Destruction PDA using incorrect animation in the 3D HUD player model
  • Resolved the naming conflicts between the plr_hacksaw and plr_hacksaw_event localization strings
  • The Scruffed ‘n Stitched cosmetic item has been updated to correct a paint issue with the second style
  • The display name of the cosmetic item Trench Warefarer has been corrected to Trench Warfarer
  • Several updates were made to the Strasbourg Scholar cosmetic item
    • Rectified the cross-cosmetic clipping issue
    • Resolved the triangulation mismatch on pants and the resultant rig issue
    • Addressed the LOD bone collapse error
    • Fixed minor UV stretching on LODs
  • Updated pl_frontier_final patch
    • Prevented Engineers from building in Red’s final spawn room
  • Several adjustments made to plr_hacksaw
    • Issue with non-zero roll on spectator cameras has been fixed
    • Erroneous clip brushes issue has been fixed
    • The door frames across the map have been simplified and merged for fewer obstructions
    • Removed certain features on team’s balconies that could potentially interfere with sentry spam
    • Finale roof has been decluttered for easy balcony-to-balcony movement
    • Rocks between middle and finale have been lowered
    • Made adjustments to prop fades
  • Made several updates to ctf_turbine_winter
    • Issue with teleporters exploding when used in the vents has been fixed
    • Extra ammopacks have been added in the intel hallways
    • Fixed cubemaps displaying strange reflections in the center area
    • Made adjustments to clipping in the center area
    • Included a neutral Train Camera for enhanced Slay Ride viewing
    • Added subtle details
  • Updated pl_emerge
    • Resolved some malformed geometry in Blu’s first spawn
    • Unintended perch point outside Blu’s first spawn has been fixed
  • Modified pl_camber
    • Clipped sewer grate
    • Disabled rock collision
    • Enlarged Red respawn room
    • Improved clipping
    • A sightline on the final point has been blocked off
  • Updated cp_brew
    • Resolved the missing collision on red arrow outside Red’s first spawn
    • Restored missing flatbed truck trailers outside the diner
  • Several changes were made to koth_snowtower
    • The control point is now more closed-off
    • Extended the cover on the lower balconies on both sides
    • Relocated the ammo from the control point to the higher platform of the central tower
    • Fixed z-fighting on the lower ramps on both sides
    • Changed the tree’s clipping near the crossing from toolsblockbullets2 to toolsplayerclip
    • Updated menu photos
  • Enhanced koth_krampus
    • Resolved minor visual issues
    • Fixed Krampus’ unique boss bar randomly getting replaced with the default one
    • Issue of people getting stuck or telefragged when using the Krampus portal has been fixed
    • Enhanced the audibility of Krampus’ landing sound
    • Krampus now effectively destroys all the buildings in his path
  • Multiple adjustments made to cp_carrier
    • Adjusted fade distances of some areaportals
    • Adjusted Blu team’s respawn times
    • Expanded Blu team’s respawn room
    • Fixed hud text overlapping
    • Resolved issues with soundscapes not working correctly
    • Fixed a bug causing objective text to not display properly
    • Restrained the carrier’s ability to pick up restricted weapons
    • Fixed an issue preventing players from becoming the carrier while standing on the platform as it resets
    • Announcer’s bomb voice lines now cease after the bomb has been employed
    • Half-Zatoichi kills now restore only 25% of the carrier’s health instead of 50%
    • The carrier is now bestowed with 25% crit resistance
    • Overtime has been added when there is a carrier
    • The carrier’s health bar now displays their class symbol
    • The size of the frog has been reduced
