Scammers are massively hacking iPhones under the guise of installing apps removed from the App Store
Victims are promised to have a bank app or TikTok restored on their phones. To do this, they need to log into the scammer’s Apple ID and enter their credentials. After that, the iPhone gets locked, and a hefty amount of money is demanded for unlocking.
The phone literally turns into a brick. Resetting settings or restarting does not help in this case.
