Greetings, Urban Architects!
We hope all is well with you. We have some exciting updates to share:

New Region Pack Launching Today
We are ecstatic to announce the arrival of the newest Region Pack! This time, we’re heading to the United Kingdom, featuring a curated assortment of community-created elements that capture the essence of Great Britain’s architectural style and picturesque landscapes. The UK Region Pack will be released today at 16:00 CET on Paradox Mods. Be sure to take a look!

Patch Release Scheduled for Tomorrow
Tomorrow, we’re rolling out a minor patch focusing on bug fixes. This update aims to enhance gameplay, improve user interface components, and more. The complete patch details will be disclosed tomorrow at 10:00 CET, coinciding with the release.

A note to our modding community: our skilled modders, part of the Early Access initiative, are already assessing mod compatibility with the upcoming version. We kindly request your patience, as several mods may require updates and might not function immediately once the patch is released.

Anticipated Creator Packs
We have thrilling news about the forthcoming Creator Packs: Urban Promenades & Modern Architecture and the accompanying Soft Rock Radio. Expect more information soon as we prepare to unveil details about their content, the creators involved, and their release dates.

Additional Creator Packs & Radio Stations
Looking ahead, we’re pleased to inform you of three additional Creator Packs and Radio Stations set to be part of the Ultimate Edition. While they are not slated for a Q4 release, they are nearing the final stages of implementation and will be introduced early next year.

Console Version Update
Though we don’t have a new release date for the console edition yet, we want to keep you informed about our progress and the challenges we’re facing. We’re currently grappling with simulation (CPU) and graphics (GPU) issues that arise when certain player actions lead to frame rate declines or memory overloads. These issues are particularly daunting due to hardware constraints on consoles.

For example, when placing larger structures involving numerous entities, the system has difficulty managing the data. During critical processes like verifying adequate space or entity overlap with current assets, performance bottlenecks occur, leading to these challenges.

At present, we’ve achieved a stable and playable condition by significantly reducing graphics quality. However, this represents a compromise we are not eager to make. To reach an acceptable standard, further optimizations in simulation and memory use are essential before we can release the console version.

Until we resolve these issues, we are unable to provide a release timeline to avoid premature and possibly misleading information. The console release remains a top priority for us; we’re exploring multiple solutions with expert involvement and are diligently working to deliver the console version of Cities: Skylines II.

With gratitude,
The Cities: Skylines Team
