Development of the God of War series has started from scratch
Showrunner Rafe Judkins, along with executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, prepared several script versions for the first season, which were rejected.
The management of Sony Pictures TV and Amazon MGM Studios positively evaluated their work, but a decision was made to “change the creative direction.”
Work on the God of War adaptation has been ongoing since March 2022. The series will cover the Norse period of Kratos’s life and his adventures with his son.
