The fashion edition of GQ has formed own top 100 video games of all timeby conducting a survey among “developers, streamers, directors, screenwriters, etc.” From Rockstar Games participated senior content designer Edward Hines-Lindo (Edward Hines-Lindo). The list itself included four games from the “rock stars”. Guess what?
91st place GTA 4.
Announced at E3 2006 with a tattoo of the logo on the bicep of Peter Moore (then head of Xbox), the “four” moved away from the approach of GTA: San Andreas, which implemented a lot of things. But it turned out to be an amazing recreation of New York. You can’t skydive off a mountaintop, but you’ll be part of one of the best stories Rockstar has ever told.
On the 61st was GTA 3.
Revolutionary for open worlds in 3D, the third part had an unusual freedom of choice for its time. Character voice acting, mission design, game world, and atmosphere all came together in a game that changed everything. Then the developers managed to create two sequels at once for several three years, while the “five” has been left without a follower for a decade now.
On the 48th line is located gta 5.
$1 billion in three days. The 2022 Avatar sequel took two weeks to reach that milestone. This is Rockstar’s most daring game ever: multiple protagonists, satire, bank robberies, and a real blockbuster feel.
But the highest position for R* games (15) was given to Red Dead Redemption 2.
Probably the coolest thing about the cool gaming industry is when Rockstar Games beats their own game in terms of cinematography and attention to detail. A dark story of a man whose time is coming to an end. A story in which you can tie an innocent victim to a railway track or see well-detailed horse eggs.
