We’ve been paying close attention to your feedback and have tackled several issues. Patch 5.26 is now available on Steam and will reach other platforms shortly. Here’s what’s new:
Improvements and Fixes
- Landing Sites: The Boundary Herald starship should now find landing spots more smoothly without any hitches.
- Visual Enhancements: We’ve polished the canopy animation when boarding the Boundary Herald to make it look better.
- Server Connections: Fixed problems that were stopping some players from connecting to the discovery servers.
- Cross-Save Banner: The banner should no longer appear when it’s not needed.
- Saving Process: The save spinner now completes promptly, and loading issues with certain saves have been addressed. Older saves can now be upgraded without issues, and camera transitions when saving at waypoints are smoother. Rare cases where saves would get stuck during loading have been fixed.
- Performance Optimizations: Texture memory usage has been optimized for better performance. VR users will notice several quality and performance improvements.
- PC Load Times: Loading times on PC have been reduced for a quicker experience.
- PlayStation 5 Pro: Enhanced quality and performance for PS5 Pro users. Fixed a crash that occurred when approaching the second rendezvous point of the Beachhead Expedition.
- Xbox Improvements: Resolved a minor memory issue and fixed several visual glitches on Xbox One.
- Crash Fixes: Addressed rare crashes related to loading Multi-Tools, frigate expeditions, and planetary rendering to ensure a more stable gameplay experience.
