Released yesterday for Nintendo Switch, No More Heroes 3 is the latest summer exclusive to Nintendo’s hybrid console. Despite the 75% average obtained on Metacritic, the game is debated and above all is far from unanimous in the specialized press. With the public to make its own opinion and whatever happens, know that it will be the very last adventures of Travis Touchdown. Indeed, its creator Suda51 split a tweet to clarify that it is simply the last episode and that the license is withdrawing.. A rather surprising announcement especially that No More Heroes 3 has just been released, because such a message could harm its communication. But whatever, for the Japanese game designer, it’s time to say goodbye to this character who has accompanied him for 14 years. Born on Wii in 2007, No More Heroes was Suda51’s first real big project since the excellent Killer7, released two years earlier on GameCube. If the series was entitled to two other episodes and an additional spin-off, it never really made it into the charts. Sales of the game, and of the series, remain the preserve of the game, but one thing is certain, Suda51 has never created games for the general public. While it is true that Nintendo has always supported the Japanese creator in his delusions, obviously the series is not bankable enough to continue to feed it. Unless it’s a whole different story, but we don’t really believe it …
