We are continuing to address the highest priority issues reported by the community. As always, thank you for playing the game and taking the time to report any issues you encounter!
Please note there is the possibility that experimental builds may introduce new issues that haven’t been caught in test. We’d like to recommend that all players back up their save files, by making a local copy of the st_[userid] folder found here: %appdata%HelloGamesNMS
Note that we don’t anticipate any issues here. However, performing your own backups could mean the difference between resuming play immediately, or waiting for the next patch.
Feedback and reports of new bugs/issues being found on Experimental are welcome, so please post them here, or submit a ticket to Zendesk[hellogames.zendesk.com] with the phrase “Steam Experimental 31/08” in the ticket title.
Additional changes on Experimental (05/09):
- Ensured that the first entry in the Space Station Teleport list will take players in the incorrect galaxy back to their home galaxy.
- Fixed an issue that could cause portals to close and not lead players back to the correct planet.
- Fixed an issue where players could become stuck on a black screen.
Changes on Experimental (31/08):
- Fixed a number of crashes, including one in the inventory UI.
- Fixed an issue that could cause discoveries to stop saving.
- Fixed an issue where players with certain numbers of inventory slots would have those slots hidden by other UI elements.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Community Research portals not to return players to the correct galaxy after mission completion. A recovery fix to return people to the correct galaxy is in progress.
- Fixed a number of small text issues in the first Community Research mission.
- Fixed an issue where the starship was unable to land after changing missions while facing a mission marker.
- Fixed an issue where players with corrupt saves would be recovered but have no ship (please note – this instance involves instances where the ship was the corrupt data, and so ships have been restored to default).
