Megan Thee Stallion Doesn’t Mind Making Men Feel Uncomfortable: ‘I Feel Like That’s My Job’

Megan Thee Stallion is letting her opinion of the opposite sex be known, and not just in song. In an interview with Evening Standard published on Thursday (Sept. 9), the “Thot Shit” rapper revealed that she now sees “how much more ignorant men are,” and explained what certain men tend to think of a strong woman like herself.

“When you’re a woman who’s not a threat, men don’t really bother you … men like that damsel in distress type of role and that’s not me. I feel like that’s what kind of gets under a lot of men’s skin,” the rapper explained. “Like, ‘How dare she talk about her vagina? She loves herself and she don’t need me and she’s going to take my money.’ I just feel like I make a lot of them uncomfortable and I feel like that’s my job.”

The rapper also went on to say that men who have an issue with her attitude and appearance are the ones with a problem. “You can’t stop looking the other way, because you like what you see and you hate that you like what you see,” she continued. “That’s why you hate it, that’s why you go through all these emotions and you’re lashing out on me. So I’m not even mad at these men. They’re emotionally ignorant. Once they come to grips with who they are, maybe they’ll grow up.”

The “Savage” rapper also used the interview as an opportunity to share why she filed a  temporary restraining order against her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, who tried blocking her and BTS’ “Butter” remix from being released after CEO Carl Crawford and partner J. Prince initially withheld their approval for the track.

“I’m always going to fight for myself, I’m always going to stand up for myself,” Megan told Evening Standard. “I feel like how dare anybody try to silence me? My label was just like, ‘Oh, we don’t like the song, so you’re not putting it out,’ and I’m like, ‘Since when has anybody ever been able to do that in the history of ever? That doesn’t even make any sense.’ I want to do a song with BTS, I’m a fan. How are y’all just going to randomly crush my dreams … So I did everything I could do to get it out and now that it’s out we all feel such a relief and we feel so happy.”
