Everyone has their reservations entering a new relationship. But for Megan Fox, she got very methodical before she began dating rapper-rocker Machine Gun Kelly.
The 35-year-old actress talked to Who What Wear in a new interview Thursday and revealed that although their connection felt instant and destined, she still had her hesitations — and listed them out in a pro and cons list.
“When I met [him], I knew instantly that this is a soul I’ve traveled with before, that this was a soul-mate connection, and that there was a purpose here,” she explained. “There was my logical brain chiming and being like, ‘This will never work for 101 reasons.'”
She didn’t reveal what she wrote down on either side of the list, but it’s safe to assume the winner of the head-versus-heart battle. Last June, Fox and MGK appeared on the Give Them Lala … With Randall podcast for their first interview as a couple and talked about meeting on the set of their upcoming film Midnight in the Switchgrass and how the stars aligned for their romance.
“I knew — I could feel that some wild sh– was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul — that something was going to come from that,” Fox said of meeting MGK.
What she felt deep in her soul was the artist’s Pisces moon. She dug deep into astrology on the second day of filming, when Fox invited MGK to her trailer for lunch. “I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time,” she clarified. “So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.”
While Fox had a pros and cons list before the two started dating a year ago, MGK recently revealed that he had a Megan Fox poster from her 2008 GQ photo shoot in his bedroom when he was in high school. The GQ profile also explained how the Tickets to My Downfall star got a tattoo of the Decepticons logo from Transformers — the action movie series Fox famously starred in — on his arm, and how at least one former classmate remembers him vowing he’d marry her down the line.
