Max Payne 1&2 Remake Enters a New Development Phase

Was over a year ago Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake announced. Since then, there has been little news on this subject, and for good reason.

Fresh Remedy report for January-March CEO Tero Virtala had a few words about the upcoming project:

The game is progressing well and has moved into the proof-of-concept phase. The development team is now busy bringing the main features of the series to modern gaming platforms. We expect that by the end of the year the number of people working on the remake will gradually increase.

Proof of concept stage following stage of the concept itselfimplies that there is already a certain working model, which is designed to prove the viability of the future project, to convince the creators that the main distinguishing features of “Max Payne” will be preserved.
