Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is on monitor for a 2017 launch, in line with the newest replace from developer Ninja Theory.

Was this ever unsure? Frankly, sure; the “independent AAA”, as Ninja Theory has described it, was first introduced in August 2014 and Ninja Theory prevented discussing a date till it posited a 2016 launch someday throughout 2015. That clearly didn’t occur, and within the tail finish of the 12 months the group mentioned Hellblade had been delayed to 2017.

It’s not simply the delay and the lengthy turnaround on what’s imagined to be an indie-sized recreation; each time we hear about Hellblade it appears Ninja Theory has invented some new and wonderful type of know-how for it. How it has any time to make video games what with overhauling motion capture for smaller budgets, doubling down on facial animations and dealing with Epic to create cinematics from live motion capture in real time, we don’t know.

Hellblade is being developed by a very small team on a tiny price range, and but seems so fairly you’ll be able to’t assist however do kissy fingers at its trailers. Matt reckons Hellblade’s combat is pretty good, though the remainder of us have only seen a very little bit of footage up to now.

Look for Hellblade someday in 2017, on PC and PS4. Hopefully.
