Known for The Matrix and John Wick, Keanu Reeves is set to headline a new science‑fiction thriller, Shiver (title transl. “Shiver”), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and distributed by Warner Bros. The story follows an ill‑fated smuggler on a mission in the Caribbean who suddenly becomes trapped in a time loop, repeatedly facing off against mercenaries and sharks.
Insiders cite Edge of Tomorrow (starring Tom Cruise) and The Shallows (starring Blake Lively) as creative touchstones. No official release date for Shiver has been announced. The screenplay is by Ian Shorr (“Zanoza”), and among the producers is Matthew Vaughn (Kick‑Ass).
Reeves most recently appeared in the comedy Luck, in which he portrayed an angel.
