The latest project from Academy Award-winning Irish filmmaker Martin McDonagh is set to arrive in theaters worldwide on November 6, 2026. Titled Wild Horse Nine, the film is a period piece set in 1973, centering on two CIA operatives dispatched to the remote Easter Island to unravel a labyrinthine and high-stakes mystery.
The film features a stellar ensemble cast, including John Malkovich, Sam Rockwell, Steve Buscemi, Parker Posey, Tom Waits, and Ailín Salas, among other notable performers.
Frequent collaborator Carter Burwell, who has scored nearly every entry in McDonagh’s cinematic filmography, has been tapped to compose the music for Wild Horse Nine. The production is being spearheaded by Searchlight Pictures.
