Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson Tie the Knot in Surprise Valentine’s Day Ceremony

Love was the headline this Valentine’s Day as actress Maya Hawke and musician Christian Lee Hutson officially tied the knot. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate, surprise ceremony held at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan on Saturday, February 14.
The 27-year-old Stranger Things star and the 35-year-old singer-songwriter were surrounded by a star-studded guest list. In attendance were Hawke’s parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, along with a mini-reunion of the Hawkins crew. According to reports from People, castmates Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, and Joe Keery were all there to witness the nuptials.
For her walk down the aisle, Hawke chose a sophisticated white bridal gown complemented by a plush, feathery winter coat to brave the February chill. Hutson maintained a classic aesthetic, opting for a traditional black-and-white tuxedo. Following the ceremony, the wedding party moved to the historic Players Members Club in Manhattan to celebrate the union.
The couple’s romantic journey began in 2023 when they were first spotted together in New York. They later made their official red carpet debut in April 2025 at the opening of the Broadway play John Proctor is the Villain. Hutson, who has released three albums and is a frequent collaborator of Phoebe Bridgers, quietly confirmed their engagement during an appearance on SoCal Sound Session last year.
Their connection is deeply rooted in their shared passion for music. The pair reportedly met through the industry years ago; Hutson toured as an opening act for Bridgers between 2022 and 2023 and played a significant role in the creation of Hawke’s 2024 album, Chaos Angel. He also contributed to her 2022 project, Moss.
Hawke has frequently praised Hutson’s influence on her creative process. In a June 2024 interview with Variety, she noted that he was instrumental in her growth as an artist, helping her transition from a “poet in a band” to a fully realized musician.
