“Wuthering Heights” takes the global box office by storm

The global debut of Wuthering Heights has surged past the $80 million mark, allowing Oscar-winning director Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic to recoup its production costs within its first few days of release. While the film’s total marketing spend remains undisclosed, its initial box office performance marks a significant win.

In the United States, the film pulled in $40 million, falling slightly short of the $50 million projected by industry analysts. However, a strong international showing added another $42 million to its worldwide total.

Meanwhile, the crime thriller The Los Angeles Heist, starring Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth, is struggling to keep pace with the competition. The film has earned a disappointing $29 million so far, a concerning figure given its substantial $90 million production budget.
