Justin Bieber to Perform at 2021 Juno Awards

Justin Bieber will perform on the 50th Juno Awards broadcast in his native Canada on June 6. It will mark the first time he has appeared on the Junos since 2010.

Bieber is nominated for five awards at this year’s event — album of the year and pop album of the year for Changes, single of the year for “Intentions” (featuring Quavo), artist of the year and the Juno fan choice award.

Bieber has won seven Juno Awards (from 27 nominations). That’s a better showing than at the Grammy Awards, where he has won two Grammys (from 14 nominations).

At the Junos, he has won pop album of the year twice, for My World 2.0 (2011) and Purpose (2016). He has won the Juno fan choice award five times, from 2011 to 2016.

Bieber’s appearance on this year’s broadcast precedes his recently rescheduled 52-date date Justice World Tour 2022. The North American leg of the tour kicks off in February 2022, with Canadian stops in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. The tour is named after his album Justice, which logged two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in April.

“Peaches” (featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon) entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 1 in April, the same week Justice entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1. This enabled Bieber to become the first solo male artist to open atop both of Billboard‘s flagship charts in the same week.

The 50th Juno Awards will be broadcast throughout Canada on Sunday, June 6 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music and CBC Listen. They’ll air globally on CBCMusic.ca/junos. The show will be livestreamed on CBC Music’s TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages.

Jann Arden, who is being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, will perform from her hometown at Calgary’s Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre. Anne Murray is set to induct Arden.

The full line-up of performers and presenters for the anniversary broadcast will be unveiled on Thursday, May 27.
