A brand new crowdfunding campaign is trying to increase cash to renovate the historic Hamtramck Stadium in Detroit, one of many final remaining Negro League baseball stadia within the United States. Jack White is likely one of the first donors, giving $10,000 to the restoration effort, as WDET reviews. The marketing campaign, hosted by Detroit-based crowdfunding platform Patroncity, is trying to increase $50,000 in whole.
In addition to his affinity for vinyl, White is a giant fan of baseball. In 2016, he invested in Warstic, the baseball bat firm that might go on a signature bat for White (which bought inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018).
