Alongside the release of Patch 7 today for those on console and Mac, we are also deploying an additional hotfix across all platforms to tackle some issues and enhance your overall modding experience!

For our Console and Mac users, this update introduces the following:

We appreciate you sharing your experiences with Patch 7! Our team remains dedicated to resolving issues you’ve reported, such as the “Connection Failed—Error” during multiplayer sessions via Steam. For this specific problem, our support team has put together a workaround that you can follow to avoid encountering this issue as we continue our investigation.

MODDING

Mod Manager
  • The ‘Trending’ filter now accurately displays trending mods.
  • Resolved an issue preventing immediate initiation of a modded multiplayer game after installing necessary mods via the Mod Issues window.
  • Addressed a controller issue that hindered loading a modded game following mod deactivation in the Mod Issues window.
  • Fixed the Load Game interface from inadvertently registering arrow and enter key inputs in the background while the Mod Issues window is active.
  • Resolved a crash triggered by disabling a mod with an OnEquip passive that includes a weapon.
  • Ensured ‘Uninstall’/’Unsubscribe’ are correctly visible on the Mod Details page and the Installed tab, plus added a label for subscribed mods in the Browser tab on controllers.
  • Enhanced communication for when multiple mods do not download through the Mod Manager.
  • Expanded the width of the Mod Issues window.
  • Updated the mod.io login interface to improve spacing across various languages.
  • Corrected alignment for warnings in the Mod Issues window accessed via the Load Game button and confirmed setup for controller-used subscribed and installed mods.
  • Corrected download bar positioning on controllers and adjusted button prompt arrangements on the Mod Details page.
  • Enhanced alignment and spacing on the account creation and login screens within the Mod Manager.
  • Fixed overlapping UI elements over the Report button when not signed into mod.io.
  • Addressed instances where the Memory Used element displayed mod size instead of actual memory usage.
  • Added a warning about third-party mods to the Main Menu on consoles, improving its visibility, especially in split-screen.
  • Navigating back to the browser after viewing Mod Details will now retain the selection on the mod just viewed.
  • After uninstalling a mod, the scrollbar in your Installed Mods list will no longer reset to the top.
  • Hid Memory Used text when viewing an image on the Mod Details page.
  • Corrected occasional display inaccuracies for the Memory Used text.
  • Removed an unnecessary vertical scrollbar appearing when more than four images are present on the Mod Details page.
  • Returning to the main menu and reopening the Mod Manager during a mod download will now accurately indicate ongoing downloads instead of erroneously displaying the ‘Download’ button.
  • When browsing, the scrollbar will reset to the top when a new page is accessed.
  • Fixed an intermittent ‘Uninstall’ button malfunction on the Mod Details page.
  • Rectified an incorrect email address prompt leading to password errors in the Mod Manager, and required password re-entry despite correct inputs.
  • Corrected an issue with the Mod Manager’s page selector reverting to Page 1 when navigating beyond Page 9.
  • The Mod Issues window will no longer caution about unresolved issues for mods listed under the New Mods Detected section.
  • Successful Larian Account creation or login via the Mod Manager will directly lead to the mod.io splash screen.
  • Accelerated loading times for thumbnails in the Mod Manager.
  • Enabled default search filters in the Mod Manager for keyboard and mouse use.
  • Resolved the persistent ‘Update’ prompt after updating a mod to its latest version.
  • Fixed dual sound effects during page transitions in the Mod Manager on controllers.
  • Corrected button truncation in the Japanese localisation of the Mod Manager’s splash screen.
  • Adjusted misleading Mod Issues window warnings for mods not fully loaded yet.
  • Integrated a scrollbar for controller access on the Mod Details page, facilitating reading of extended descriptions and corrected UI disruptions at certain aspect ratios for keyboard and mouse use.
  • Amended mod image aspect ratio in the Mod Manager.
  • The Mod Issues window now displays a loading indicator while mod details populate.
  • Standardized mod loading order upon enabling/disabling or loading an unordered modsettings file.
  • Resolved incorrect mod names shown in the Mod Issues window when enabling additional third-party mods in savegames.

Toolkit
  • The UUID Object Editor now correctly refreshes the formula bar to display the selected text in the SpellList column.
  • Addressed a crash when deleting a visual texture that shares a GTex with another visual texture while attempting to preview the remaining texture without a GTex.
  • Prevented the splash screen from being altered, preventing bypass of terms and conditions acceptance.
  • Resolved a crash while accessing Project Settings when a mod is present in the downloaded folder.
  • Fixed Root Template Manager’s multi-item selection issue when changing folders, preventing multiple deletions when using the ‘Delete Selected’ button.

GAME
Gameplay
  • Guidance provided on how characters should utilize ladders.
  • Fixed disappearing items when sending a container with identical stackable items to a companion with the same item type.
  • Ensured that items within a container scatter correctly when destroyed.
  • Addressed the invisibility of BOOOAL at the start of combat.
  • Resolved horizontal lines appearing when using Ambient Occlusion.
  • The Ruleset options are now accessible in Custom Mode settings when accessed via the multiplayer lobby.

Crashes and Blockers
  • Addressed crashes connected to missing equipment for newly modded classes.
  • Fixed occasional crashes occurring when returning to the main menu from the multiplayer lobby.
  • Resolved a potential blocker caused by falling beneath an elevator in the Mind Flayer Colony. Characters slipping through gaps will now perish and become Soul Echoes.
  • Resolved a crash when attempting to load into a full playthrough instead of selecting a specific savegame within that playthrough.

Cinematics
  • Wyll won’t be awkwardly positioned over an invisible throne during his evil ending scene.
  • Corrected an NPC’s abrupt appearance before meeting his fate in a Dark Urge cinematic.
  • Fixed camera and visual glitches when conversing with His Majesty, including instances where His Majesty appeared headless, exposing his glowing insides.
  • Corrected camera issues and freeze-ups during Karlach’s evil ending sequence.
  • Rectified minor visual anomalies during the Dark Urge cinematic atop the Netherbrain, including Karlach’s extended display of her bottom teeth.

Writing
  • The Shattered Flail’s description now clarifies that it does not activate other passives triggered by healing.
  • Corrected several text errors and minor typographical issues throughout the game.
