Hidetaka Miyazaki receives Lifetime Achievement Award at Golden Joysticks

Dark Souls sequence creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, was the recipient of the lifetime achievement award on the 2018 Golden Joystick Awards.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of the Dark Souls sequence and Bloodborne, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award on the Golden Joysticks in London, however credited everybody at From Software, everybody who has labored with the studio through the years, and the publishers in his acceptance speech.

Fighting Fantasy co-creators, Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, had been readily available to current Miyazaki with the award.

Miyazaki didn’t depart the stage with out giving a shout out to From Software’s subsequent title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Miyazaki joins the ranks of earlier winners of the award, Ken Levine, Hideo Kojima, Satoru Iwata, Eiji Aonuma, and Sid Meier.

Fortnite gained the award for Ultimate Game of the Year, whereas God of War took residence the awards for Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, and Best Audio. Red Dead Redemption 2 was awarded Critics’ Choice.
