As usual, the year almost ended was not easy, but 2021 had its pros and cons.
Terror of modders and the reissue of “Trilogy”
The main symbols of the year were two events, both very unfortunate. What does the war with the creators of modifications have to do with it? hooked us too, the copyright holder started just because of the release GTA: Trilogy – Definitive Edition… Alas, the new release within the beloved series did not stand up to criticism: the start was blurry, and the quality of the collection was below the plinth. The Rock Stars got down to fixing the bugs, but, fixing the most popular bugs among the people, gave up on the “final edition”.
“Tuners” and “Contract”
As usual, in the calendar year, the developers have released two add-ons for GTA Online… In the first, summer, a new life was given to all those who have an engine and gasoline instead of heart and blood. A in winter a world star was added to the game, and a lot of new music, and even elements of a story DLC.
Closing the servers of “old” games
In the second half of the year R * turned off “Online” and multiplayer Max Payne 3 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. All this is expected and does not cause outrage. Rather, it is sadness that a whole page of stories, impressions and memories has been turned over.
Bright memory
As in any other year, there were some losses. In 2021, several prominent personalities who contributed to the creation of GTA also disappeared: ex-President of Rockstar Leeds Gordon Hall, performers DMX and Biz markie, whose music we hear in different parts of the series.
Changes to GCU
Our portal is already 18 years old, but it, like a good blend, absorbs only the best. In the meantime this year we covered what is happening in the world of Grand Theft Auto, modernized the design, and right now we are working on a new section of the FAQ. In addition, over the past twelve months there have been new headings of GTA BOLTUN and “Our social networks”… In the latter, we collect all content not released on the site. In November and December, this was not a lot, but one picture characterizes a difficult year especially well.
What to expect in 2022?
Certainly in the new year another version awaits us. Gta 5, now for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, which will be released in march… Together with it, GTA Online will appear on the latest consoles. In addition to the expected graphical and similar improvements, I would like to get something new, like the last time with the same “five”, when for the first time in the series a full-fledged first-person view appeared. Following this logic, a VR mode may debut in the spring release, if not for “Online”, then at least for a story campaign. Such an innovation would be an incentive to re-buy a game that already does not fall out of the top sellers.
As for virtual reality, in 2022 I would like to get, if not ready “San Andreas” in an unusual embodiment, then at least some details about him.
It is more than likely that two major updates will be released for GTA Online on an already worked out schedule: in the summer and in December.
It’s hard to say what will happen next, but Rockstar Games will surely have time to surprise us. Perhaps the course taken to republish great games. There are already rumors about update GTA 4, The “final edition” of Bully and even a remaster of the first Red Dead Redemption.
