The Halo licensing TV series project has been circulating here and there for a while. We remember the intervention of Steven Spielberg in person on May 21, 2013 to extol the merits of the program, since the latter officiates as executive producer. Since then, information has been poor; We just know that Amblin Television (the Spielberg company therefore) and 343 Industries work hand in hand, which has also caused quite a bit of trouble in the development of Halo Infinite. Last I heard, the Halo TV series was slated to air on Showtime, but plans have changed and it’s on Paramount + that the Master Chief will be making his debut on the small screen. Nothing serious in absolute terms, Showtime and Paramount + belonging to the same group that is ViacomCBS. The goal for the parent company is to have quality content for the launch of Paramount +, which will be added to Netflix, Disney +, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max etc.
If Paramount + will be launched on March 4 in the United States, in France, its name has not even been mentioned and the general public probably not aware of its existence. Still, the goal is to complete the series as quickly as possible for a launch in early 2022, just to take advantage of the launch of Halo Infinite on Xbox Series X | S. Note that the shooting was stopped during the first general confinement in March 2020, while the first season had only been produced at 60%. We know that it is Pablo Schreiber (13 Hourse, Skyscraper, The Wire, Orange Is the New Black) who will take on the role of Master Chief and we wish him not to keep the helmet screwed on his head as long as Pedro Pascal in The Mandalorian.
