Today marks the first time in four years that Rockstar North employees have returned to the office. The company’s top management decided to forego the option of remote work to ensure the final stage of GTA 6‘s development proceeds as smoothly as possible. However, this doesn’t mean that the game will be released soon — initial plans for a release in the first half of 2025 are, according to insiders, unattainable, and the launch could be postponed until 2026.
We anticipate a significant decrease in leaks and spoilers related to “the sixth installment”. Yet, the number of voluntary resignations among the “rock stars” might increase, despite the challenging employment market in the gaming industry. The rank and file employees are concerned that this policy change could lead to a resurgence of crunch times and a toxic work environment.
