God of War Ragnarök: no, “Ragnarök” is not yet the real title (and Sony says it)

Timidly announced last year, the so-called God of War Ragnarök – a bit by default, for lack of anything else to put in their mouths – is already envious. Certainly, the title of Santa Monica Studios may upset the news, several years after the splendid Nordic adventure of the famous Greek friend. Suddenly, we take our trouble patiently, wisely. And we stay on the lookout for the slightest bit of news.

Precisely, a particularly important new detail has just emerged: no, “Ragnarök” is not the official title of this “God of War 2”. Besides, the blue logo also seen in the first teaser is not definitive either. It is Sony who confessed it to our colleagues at IGN, and for a noble cause: to avoid confusion while the whole world calls him “God of War Ragnarök” wrongly and through, all the more since that the logo was seen in during an internal meeting for investors.

The name and logo for our upcoming God of War game are not yet final. An incorrect logo was mistakenly used in our presentation with investors. We look forward to sharing more and apologize for any confusion.

In other words, we really don’t know what to call the next PS5 exclusive. Yes, “Ragnarök” could well be the name finally chosen, but nothing is less certain as Sony has just officially indicated. Maybe we’ll have some more concrete news this summer …
