With Fortnite making its comeback on iOS in the European Union, Epic has unveiled a fresh collection of complimentary cosmetics for players to acquire. These items were initially meant to be exclusive to mobile users in the EU, yet a glitch that allows anyone to obtain these rewards has surfaced.
To capitalize on the glitch, players should adhere to these steps:
- Locate an Island Code for a map created in Creative 1.0 with XP enabled
(we used 9061-5458-7889) - Enter the selected map in a private lobby with a friend
- Once the game has started, return to the lobby, leaving your friend in the game
- Re-enter the map while your friend remains in the session
By following these four steps, the Katalina Quests will be activated for the player who rejoined the map, allowing them to gain the small amount of XP needed to unlock each cosmetic.
Players should be aware that, since this method of unlocking cosmetics is not intended, Epic is likely to patch it soon. Those outside the EU wishing to earn these cosmetics should act now.
