The new ‘Blitz Royale’ mode for Fortnite has been officially announced.

Debuting with the v36.10 update on June 18, Blitz Royale is described as “a faster Battle Royale,” designed with a rogue-like format perfect for mobile gameplay. However, Epic has confirmed its availability on all platforms from the start.
Specifics about the mode remain largely undisclosed, though it is anticipated to be a permanent feature, using Battle Royale elements on Reload’s existing maps. Matches will last a brief five minutes, marking Epic’s most concise rendition of Battle Royale to date. Data miners suggest the Reload map featured in Blitz will rotate each week, with a novel map debuting in week 4. Unlike Reload, Blitz Royale won’t allow players to respawn post-elimination, ensuring high-paced and engaging matches.
