Arc Raiders has emerged as the most significant multiplayer release of the year, even eclipsing Battlefield 6—a title that Electronic Arts invested nearly $400 million to produce.
This extraction shooter has remarkably retained 90% of its player base after reaching a staggering peak of 481,000 concurrent users. While the industry standard usually sees multiplayer titles lose the majority of their audience within weeks of launch, Arc Raiders has successfully bucked the trend and maintained its momentum.
After debuting in October, the game reached its zenith on November 16 with 481,966 players. Even more impressive is the fact that its lowest 24-hour peak since release has stayed at a robust 272,000 players.
For context, Battlefield 6 suffered a massive 80% decline in its player count, while the latest Black Ops installment failed to gain significant traction, currently hovering just above 60,000 active users.
With over 7 million units already sold, Arc Raiders secured the “Best Multiplayer Game” award at TGA, beating out Battlefield 6 for the top spot. The development team at Embark is committed to a long-term roadmap, promising new features and expansive content updates through 2026 to ensure the game thrives for years to come.
