Combined Arms, the ambitious fan-made RTS crossover bridging the Tiberium and Red Alert universes, has officially deployed its 1.08 update.

This latest version expands the campaign with six brand-new Alliance missions and introduces a cooperative mode, allowing up to six players to tackle the story together.

The update also brings revised difficulty settings, ranging from the accessible “Easy” mode to the grueling “Brutal” challenge. Players can now explore an interactive encyclopedia for deeper lore, or jump into the new “Battle Lab” map designed specifically for 2v2 multiplayer skirmishes. Alongside these additions, the developers have refined faction balancing, polished core gameplay mechanics, and resolved various technical issues.

Combined Arms is a completely free, standalone experience built on the OpenRA engine. It requires no original game files, as Electronic Arts released the classic C&C and Red Alert titles as freeware in 2008. The mod features a grand narrative-driven conflict where four iconic factions—GDI, Nod, the Allies, and the Soviets—clash in a unified strategic theater.
