Fortnite Battle Royale’s short-term 50 vs. 50 mode is reside

If you reckon Fortnite Battle Royale’s squads are too small and don’t present sufficient meat shields to cower behind, then have I acquired some excellent news for you. From now till December 17, you’ll be capable of dive into fully ridiculous 50 vs. 50 battle royales. Fortnite’s in all probability going to get very, very messy for the subsequent week. Check out the trailer beneath.

After burning out on Plunkbat, I’ve grow to be one thing of a Fortnite Battle Royale convert. The main, base-building game does nothing for me, but it surely makes for a surprisingly strong final man standing romp. The tempo may stand to be a bit of bit slower, however I do respect that so much much less time is spent operating round, desperately looking for gear.

The 50 vs. 50 mode will, I believe, scratch a wholly completely different itch. I’m trying ahead to getting caught into some titanic clashes, however I’m much more to see what kind of gargantuan fortresses 50 individuals are going to assemble in the course of a struggle. That’s the one factor I don’t see sufficient of in Fortnite — individuals are far too sensible and don’t construct sufficient unnecessarily difficult and big bases.

While this mode is short-term, I wouldn’t be stunned to see it return after December 17. Epic say that extra particular sport modes are being deliberate for the long run, and I can’t think about that the studio would put within the effort for one thing that solely lasts for per week. Perhaps we’ll find yourself getting a particular mode rotation a bit like Overwatch’s brawls.
