‘Euphoria’ composer renounces Season 3

‘Euphoria’ composer renounces Season 3

British musician Labrinth (born Timothy Lee McKenzie) recently took to social media to announce his retirement from the music industry. During his unexpected outburst, he specifically took aim at HBO’s hit series *Euphoria*, the show for which he has served as the lead composer since its inception.

“I’m done with this industry. Fuck Columbia [Records]. Twice fuck Euphoria. I’m out,”

Labrinth posted on his Instagram account.

While the artist did not elaborate on the specific reasons behind his departure, his work on *Euphoria* was highly acclaimed, earning him an Emmy Award and multiple Grammy nominations.

The production of *Euphoria* has been notoriously turbulent, frequently making headlines for its chaotic atmosphere. Rumors of constant filming delays, showrunner Sam Levinson’s endless script revisions, and reported friction with the cast have plagued the series for years. Despite these setbacks, the third season is currently slated to premiere on HBO on April 12, featuring the return of Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, and Alexa Demie.
