EGS reports leaked on the number of free copies of GTA 5

In May last year, the digital Epic Game Store entered into an agreement with Rockstar Games and held the largest free GTA 5 giveaway… However, EGS executives were in no hurry to share information about the number of free Grand Theft Auto 5, but The Verge received confidential reports from Fortnite publishers – the numbers are impressive!

The Verge has published documents that contain reports from Epic Game Stores on the number of licenses distributed.

According to the report, Grand Theft Auto 5 was able to attract more than 7,000,000 players worldwide. However, we do know for certain that some players created multiple EGS accounts, took GTA 5, and then sold accounts on marketplaces. This is the shadow business of selling games. Therefore, the actual numbers of new players may be lower than indicated on the chart.
